Round Table Boksburg 17 & Edenvale 63
On Saturday the 29TH of October we had a R1 project to support the brave foundation. The Brave foundation have 15 Families they support in and surrounding our area and they reached out to Round Table Boksburg 17 for assistance. We decided that we will do a drive to collect non-perishable food items.
Round Table Edenvale 63 lend us their helping hands on the day to hand out flyers to the public with the cause printed on them as well as a R1 attached to go toward a purchase of the items listed.
We chose Karaglen Spar in Edenvale for this project and we set up our branding. Round Table Boksburg17, Round table Edenvale63 and the ladies from the Brave foundation working together on the day managed to collect items to the value of R10210.13, Four Trolleys Full!!
The Spar was more than willing to let us scan all the items to tally up the total as the project in turn generated more sales for them. This Project also creates a platform which allows the general public to give towards a charitable cause and this makes them feel a part of something bigger. A lot of times the general public do not know how to get involved or how to give back or how to pay it forward and this kind of project allows them to do exactly that.
Awareness was created within our community with the Rondel flying high.
We ended the project by enjoying a couple of cold ones together.
